welcome New residents
The spring and summer months have brought new neighbors to our community. When you have the opportunity, please be sure to give a warm welcome to these families:

Rod and Jodi Lemoine, 13966 Sunrise Way
Billy Ross, 6105 Beechgrove Lane
Our newly re-activated, neighborhood welcome committee “meets and greets” new property owners moving into our neighborhood. The committee members are: Anne Newton, Charmaine Dupree and Kristie George.
Lot clean-up underway!
Our community is really starting to look so much better! In July, letters were sent by the POA to lot owners reminding everyone of the new lot maintenance guidelines. As all can see, many owners are working very hard (and some at great expense) to bring their property up to the new lot maintenance standards. Their efforts are much appreciated by all.
Several lot owners have asked for our help with maintaining their compliance with the standards. These owners continue to have problems with trash and yard debris being dumped on their property.
If you observe trash or debris being placed on your neighbor’s property, please report your observation to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please rest assured that your name will NOT be revealed. (Sources are not revealed for any reports of violations to the covenants and restrictions.)
It is critical that we all help our neighbors by properly disposing of our trash and yard debris.
disposal of trash and yard debris
There are two very easy ways to properly dispose of trash and yard debris:
1) Place the debris into the dumpster located in the parking lot of the maintenance shop (your dues pay for this dumpster)
OR
2) Contact Waste Management (WM) and let them know you have a debris pick-up. WM will pick up the debris on their regularly scheduled pick-up day when the following guidelines are met:
a) The debris must be placed on curbside;
b) No more than 4 feet long;
c) No more than 35 pounds;
d) Debris does not have to be bundled/tied; leaves and grass clippings must be bagged; and
e) The customer must call and let WM know to be prepared to pick up debris.
The contact number for Waste Management is: 1-888-247-3274
Please help keep the Bluffs beautiful and properly dispose of all yard debris and other trash.
C&R in the news
While on the subject, do you know that all garbage and trash containers as well as their storage areas are to be out of sight? Our community covenants and restrictions (Article V, Section 5.11) state:
“All garbage and trash containers and their storage areas and the like shall be kept below ground level or placed inside of or behind opaque walls attached to and made a part of the single family residential dwelling. In no event shall any of the same be visible from any adjacent or neighboring Residential Property, from Golf Course and Country Club Property or from Common Areas, including any of the Common Streets and Roads. Further, all garbage and trash containers and their storage areas shall be designed and maintained so as to prevent animals from gaining access thereto.”
Please remember to store your trash cans out of sight. Your neighbors and all our visitors will certainly appreciate it!
food pantry and clothes closet collections
Collections for the Food Pantry continue on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month. Please mark your calendar if you would like to participate – the next collection date is September 7th. Non-perishable food and other items should be in front of your home by the street to be collected by 10 a.m.
If you have any questions, wish to volunteer, or need a special pick-up for furniture or appliances contact Bettye Martin at 634-3473 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please remember - clothing and household items are welcomed by the Clothes Closet but that toys and computers cannot be accepted. Your generous support is much needed and appreciated.
what is that pink tape on my light pole?
Some poles have been “wrapped” by neighborhood elves so the Entergy guys will know which street lights are out. Please don’t remove the pretty ribbons before Entergy gets to your street!
